The Edson Corporation, a worldwide leader in Marina Pump Out Systems and the inventor of the diaphragm pump, introduces another first for dockside convenience - The Flush-Mount Dock Container. This unique "manhole" style receptacle was designed to contain an Edson pumpout hydrant and fittings while eliminating the eyesore and hazards of exposed connections on the dock. Since it mounts flush to nearly any dock's deck and provides a large storage receptacle, it is also ideal for holding water hoses, valves, fittings and much more.
The Flush Mount Dock Container has an outer flange diameter of 17" and was designed to mount between common 16" wide dock stringers. Since it mounts flush with the dock surface, the Dock Container reduces trip hazards creating a safer walkway and prevents hoses and cables from getting caught on plumbing fixtures as they are dragged along the dock when servicing boats. This allows more choice in connection locations instead of having to place the valves behind power pedestals, pilings or dock boxes to protect them. The recessed hydrant mounts are attractive enough to be used in the high line marinas and practical enough to be used on a working dock!
The Flush Mount Dock Container is cast from anodized marine-grade aluminum with a universal "Pump Out" logo cast into the 3/8" thick cover, making it easily recognized by boaters as a pumpout location. The container and cover are strong enough for people, carts and almost any dock traffic to run over it without damage. Spills and overflow in the container drain out of a hole in the bottom, keeping the Dock Container clean and dry.
The Edson Flush Mount Dock Container is an ideal accessory for one of Edson's many styles of Marina Pump Out Systems, to fit any marina configuration.
Other uses for the Flush-Mount Dock Container:
- Garden hoses and faucet can be installed inside eliminating ugly hose bibbs
- Store Pump Out Fittings and Nozzles
- Fire hydrant connections
- Since Edson owns its own casting facility, custom labels, descriptions and even a company logo can be cast into the cover.
